Description:

Soc Trang Province, located in the Mekong River Plains, is bordered on the northeast by Tra Vinh; on the southwest by Bac Lieu; on the southeast by the South China Sea; on the northwest by Can Tho.

Economy:
Agriculture, marine resources.

Natural beauty sights:
My Phuoc Orchard, on My Phuoc Island, and Thanh Tri Bird Sanctuary.

Historic sights:
Dat Set Pagoda (2), Doi Pagoda (1).

Khmer Museum, Mau Than Street, Soc Trang.

Ngo Boat Race Festival, Oc - Om - Boc Festival.

Transport:

Soc Trang is 231 kilometres southwest of Ho Chi Minh City/SaiGon. It has road and water transportation links.

Road
The Bus Station is on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, north of the river. There are scheduled services with Mien Tay Bus Station in Ho Chi Minh City’s as well as other centres in the Mekong Delta.
 
Water
