Description:

Long An Province is in the Mekong Delta. It is bordered on northeast by Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City/SaiGon; on the southwest by Dong Thap and Tien Giang.

Historic sights:
Archaeological site of the Oc Eo culture, Binh Ta Vestiges, Nguyen Huynh Duc Temple and Tomb, Rach Cat military base, Ton Thach Pagoda (2) belongs to Thanh Ba quarter in My Loc village. Ton Thanh Pagoda, built in 1808, by northern emigrants, is the oldest pagoda in Long An. Vietnamese poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu lived in this pagoda from 1859 to 1861.
