Description:

Quang Nam Province is the middle region of Central ViętNam bordered by Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang on the north; Kon Tum and Quang Ngai on the south; South China Sea on the east; the Truong Son Mountain range and Laos on the west.

Economy:
Agriculture, forestry, marine product processing.

Natural beauty sights:
Cu Lao Cham.

Historic sights:
Ancient house in jack-fruit wood, Chuc Thanh Pagoda, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Holy Land and My Son Sanctuary.

Festivals:
Long Chu Festival, Madam Thu Bon Festival, Whale Festival.

Transport:

Hoi An is 32 kilometres south of Da Nang and can be reached by car, bus or minibus. Getting out to view the sights from the hill overlooking and catching a later bus, if need be, is worth it. Hoi is pleasantly isolated with access to air, rail and road through Da Nang. Only local transport provides access.

Bus
The Bus Station is about 1 kilometre west of Hoi An downtown. Buses leave for Da Nang, 1 hour distant, several times a day. Minibus service Hoi An to Hue (USD$3), to Da Nang (about  USD$2).

Water
