Description:
Tuy Hoa is the provincial capital of Phu Yen Province, 1,177  kilometres south of Ha Noi and 561  kilometres north of Ho Chi Minh City.

It is located on the banks of the mouth of the Da Rang River, which is 300  kilometres long with its source in Gia Lai Province in the Central Highlands to the west. The river width varies between 1 and 3 kilometres.

Ganh Da Dia.

 

Long Thuy Beach, which is 12 kilometres south of Tuy Hoa, is good for swimming. This white sand beach is famous for its contrasting clear blue waters.

 

Vung Ro is a regionally known tourist centre, about 25  kilometres south of Tuy Hoa, famous for its numerous beautiful offshore islands.

 

O Loan Lagoon is only 15  kilometres from Tuy Hoa and is ideal for boat trips.

Historic sights:
Chua Da Trang (White Stone Pagoda) is located 20  kilometres north of the town, perched on a mountain slope. The pagoda offers an clear view of the landscapes below.  Close to the Da Rang River Bridge is Thap Nhan Tower, built on a nearby hilltop, the tower is 15 metres high. Nhan Tower.

Festivals:
Buffalo-Stabbing Festival.

Notable:
A famous seafood dish from this area is is grilled blood clams.

Transport:

Tuy Hoa is 120 kilometres north of Nha Trang; 563 kilometres north of Ho Chi Minh City/SaiGon. It has air, rail and road links.
 

Air
Tuy Hoa Airport (TBB) is located on the south side of the Song Da Rang River with scheduled services to Ho Chi Minh City/SaiGon (SGN).

 

Rail
Tuy Hoa Railway Station is on Highway 1 (Tel: +84-(0)-57-823-672) and is serviced by local trains. The rail ticket booking office is on Le Trung Kien Street, Tuy Hoa Town (Tel: +84-(0)-57-824-195).

 

Road
Tuy Hoa is on National Highway 1 and is serviced by local and long distance buses and minibuses.
