We are revising our numerous web sites to make it possible for screen readers and other
devices for the physically challenged to be able to read our pages.
Bear with us whilst we try to
figure out how screen readers and vocalisers sound reading our pages.
Preamble and Caution
This VietNam FAQ is assembled by automatic 'bots' that roam around the InterNet, like a satellite, sending back
information they have found.
Many message boards are filled with erroneous and misleading information (such
as male mosquitoes bite suggested by one idiot who calls himself Mookie) and
'information' about health problems from people who haven't a clue of what they speak of and yet Readers accept them as
gospel. WomPom ran a test on several message boards recently and found one of them even being used to move drugs using
pictures as method of designating pickup points!
Mookie is also the person who insists that the cheapest taxi
fare from Noi Bai airport is USD$10 when it has been as low as USD$5 since 2002 and the new bus service is even
cheaper at USD$2.
What follows is a synthesis of the returned answers with useful information.
Remember, the events are anecdotal, they might have happened at a point in time, at a certain place, to a given person.
If that person is dressed in strange attire, hauling a backpack and possibly causing offence to someone from another
culture sometimes it is very understandable why some things happen.
