Weather averages - North VietNam |
The weather in VietNam is key to Travellers and because of the geography of the country it
is difficult pin down the weather to be expected.
Humidity, (Humidex) affects comfort and is the relationship between the human
body and temperature modified by the dew point or water saturation of the air.
This effect is best know to those living in the tropics and warmer temperate
climates. VietNam's climate records are incomplete for some points but they should improve
following the installation of Finnish-made automatic weather stations. |

Dedication |
 |
These weather pages are dedicated to John Pratt - formerly of the Decca
Navigator Transmitting Station at East Hoathly, Sussex, England - who imparted an undying interest in weather to the
author of these weather pages. He was one of many volunteer Weather Reporting Stations used by the United Kingdom's
Meteorological Office at that time. Thanks, John.
(Note: The
Decca Station was demolished following a ruling by the European Union and the wide-spread availability of low-cost GPS
receivers. The weather station is now automated and stands at an intersection of a main road leading to Hailsham,
Sussex, England.) |
